Heavy Machinery Operators for Waste Facilities (Summer Temporary)
Do you enjoy operating heavy machinery while being a responsible team player with a sense of order? Then you might be the one we are looking for! For the summer, we are seeking four machinery operators who want to strengthen our team at our waste facilities.
At the Production unit, you will work alongside engaged and competent colleagues in a workplace characterized by community, solution focus, and openness. Here, you will work side by side with other experienced machinery operators, wheel loader operators, and excavator operators. We work together in teams and constantly strive to move up the waste hierarchy.
Join us and work in an organization that saves the world a little bit every day!
About the Role
Your main tasks will be to operate our wheel loaders, excavators, and sorting machines during the loading, unloading, and reloading of materials at our waste facilities. You will also work with quality assurance, which involves sorting and processing various types of materials.
Part of the work consists of daily inspections and minor repairs of machines and equipment. You will be part of a rotating work team where we collaborate closely and help each other. Work at other facilities in the region may also be included.
At Vafabmiljö, we view waste as a valuable resource in the circular economy. As a machinery operator with us, you play a vital role in transforming waste into something sustainable. By working in a structured manner and with high quality, you contribute, together with your work team, to ensuring materials are handled correctly and put to use again.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who is self-reliant and enjoys taking responsibility in daily life. You find it easy to plan your work efficiently, are orderly, and have an eye for structure and safety, while also being able to adapt when conditions change.
You are solution-focused and tackle challenges with a positive attitude. Your ability to collaborate is strong, and you easily build good relationships with both customers and colleagues. A service-oriented approach is a natural part of how you act in your professional role.
As part of our group, you are expected to live and lead according to our core values: Trustworthy, Considerate, and Innovative (TON), and share our pursuit of a sustainable society.
In this recruitment, great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.
We expect you to have:
- Completed upper secondary education in machinery and transport or equivalent education, or corresponding work experience.
- Professional license or training certificate for wheel loaders or equivalent.
- Good ability to handle digital tools.
- Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Class B driver's license for manual transmission.
It is an asset if you also have:
- Experience operating heavy machinery (wheel loaders) and/or excavators.
- Experience from similar tasks at waste facilities or in the recycling industry.
- Knowledge of waste management.
- Experience with repair and maintenance of machine equipment.
- Class C driver's license.
- Experience with crushing waste fuel.
What Do You Get?
We want to reflect our customers and society at large, and therefore we hire people with diverse backgrounds, valuing the knowledge and experience this brings.
